USA Shotgun Team Takes 4

The USA Shooting Shotgun Team has recorded its highest medal count in Olympic history—four.

The medal-winning team members were Glenn Eller, who won a gold medal in double trap; Vincent Hancock, who won a gold medal in men’s skeet; Kim Rhode, who took the silver medal in women’s skeet; and Corey Cogdell, who won the bronze medal in women’s trap.

All four used Winchester AA Target Loads as they took on the toughest competitors in the world.

“Winchester is very proud of the athletes and their accomplishments,” said Dick Hammett, president of Winchester Ammunition. “To compete against the world’s best shooters and win means countless hours of practice and unbreakable concentration. Winchester is extremely happy to be associated with the USA Shooting Shotgun Team and thrilled with their choice of shotshells.”

Winchester, which has been the exclusive ammunition sponsor of the USA Shooting Shotgun Team since 1999, provided the team with Winchester AA Target Loads for the Olympic events.

In addition, two other USA Shooting Team members won medals in Beijing. Matt Emmons took a silver medal for men’s prone rifle, and Jason Turner won the bronze in the men’s air pistol competition.

The mission of USA Shooting is to prepare American athletes to win Olympic medals and promote the shooting sports.
