Liberty University Opens Student Firearms Range

Liberty University is taking a different approach to gun safety and students by opening a state-of-the-art competition firearms range. The Lynchburg, Virginia, university already allows students to keep firearms in the dorms, and 3,000 students have completed firearms safety courses through the university’s police department, a requirement to use the range. The 600-acre facility has rifle, pistol, and 3-Gun ranges, and shotgun venues include skeet, trap, and sporting clays fields. The facility is slated to open to the public later this summer.
